The Gap of Dunloe Recreational Mountain Woodland
As part of the Dún Lugh Project's aspiration to develop outdoor sports at the
location and honour the local ecology, a Native Woodland
Restoration Scheme is proposed for this 120 acre (50 hectare) site along with
a network of walking and mountain biking trails.
Known as Na Gáirdíní Foithinn (The Sheltered Gardens),
this element of the project is the subject of a separate application
to the
Forestry
Service.
